Practical Database Modeling with Oracle Database

This training course teaches basic concept on performing database modeling on Oracle database with VP-UML. The procedure includes download and install Oracle 11g database, setup and configure database, tablespace and user, modeling entities and relationships with Visual Paradigm for UML (VP-UML), defining index for entities, and generate Data Definition Language (DDL) for Oracle database. Step-by-step guideline will be included in the course.

2. Create database, tablespace and user – Basic configuration technuques on Oracle database

3. Modeling entities and relationships – Perform database modeling with VP-UML, including create entity relationship diagram, entity, columns and relationships

4. Defining indices – Index is a kind of data structure which used to enhance the performance of database. We will teach you how to define index in VP-UML

5. Create DDL for entity relationship models –  Demonstrate how to generate DDL script for Oracle database based on our defined entity relationship model
